My name is Larysa Nekrasova, I am a woman and I am a Ukrainian who, together with perfumers from around the world, creates niche perfumes.

We had very big plans for 2022. We have a small family company with only 50 people, 90% of whom are women of all ages. Three years ago, we created our own niche perfume brand Bibliotheque de parfum, which has become a choice for many Ukrainian women.

On February 24, 2022, war came to our country and our hometown. We all woke up at 5 am from terrible explosions and instead of a good sunrise, our city was ablaze with the flames of war. More than a month has passed, and during this time our lives have changed beyond recognition.

We were forced to abandon everything and save children in safe cities, as did millions of Ukrainian women.

My co-workers with children left Ukraine, only a few people remained in Kharkiv.

Our production, shops, office remain under bombardment in Kharkiv and we still do not understand whether we will ever be able to return. Bombs are constantly falling on my hometown, houses and infrastructure are being destroyed every day. To date, about 2,000 buildings have been destroyed. Now we have managed to partially move to Chernivtsi and resume the work of the Company.

I am responsible for the future of the company, for the jobs of our people, for fulfilling the orders of our customers.

I can’t ask, it’s a very difficult decision for me. But thanks to the help of the woman-perfumer Fernando Rousseau, I had a chance to revive what was so cruelly taken away from us.

For the last two years, Fernanda and I have been working on a collection of niche fragrances for 8 women. They were to be a supplement to my psychological training.

Our goal was to show the women of the world that we are all unique, that we do not need to pretend and hide our true nature, to learn to show ourselves to the world as we were born. Each state is responsible for the specific aroma of our collection and it was to become a psychological anchor.

Two whole years of life, works of Ukrainians and Italians in these 8 flavors.

The presentation of the training and collection “8 states of women” was scheduled for April in Ukraine.

It is impossible now and I do not know if it will be possible in the near future.

The developed collection miraculously did not come to my production in Kharkiv on February 23. The courier simply forgot to pick her up from Fernanda. And the next day the war began. Now Fernanda has taken over all the processes of producing fragrances in Italy. And we have time to prepare them for the exhibition in Bologna.

I believe that our collection, created in collaboration with Fernanda, will win the hearts of women around the world. And I will be able to start rebuilding my company in Ukraine from scratch.

It is important for me to thank all the women of the world who warm up, help, and house Ukrainian women with children in their homes. Prepare food, help to adapt in different cities and countries.
